  • Saying Thanks

Remembering my Daddy for Memorial Day......

My heart is moved every time I see a service man in uniform.  When I was flying out of Little Rock, I saw so many and I just wanted to say thank you for what you do.  I wish I had seen this before then.  It is a short video clip with a neat way to say thank you when you see our servicemen and want to honor them.  I often think of the families left behind struggling to get by day today with situations: babies born, illness, birthday parties missed, and the list could go on.

  • My last pictures from my trip....

O.K.  I had a captive audience with beautiful babies and mama's and humor and craziness.  I have run out of entertainment, but I am house sitting this weekend, so I am sure I will have a tail...or two!

  • Even More Cuss-ins.....

I told you I had some great pics.  I want to start with one from Sunday.  Vickie and I always handed Mike both our cameras when he took our picture, so we ended up with pretty much the same pictures.  But here is one he made of us in Bennigans.

    .1

I can't get enough of these wonderful kids......(I can't call them babies anymore!)

    4

It is hard to catch the Butler men on camera, one because he is never still enough!!!

    6

But he stopped long enough to give TC a grin, then disappeared into the land of boy cuss-ins, not to be still again!

    5

    The othr half....or should I say 2 1/2!

    3

    Cheese......

    2

She loved playing with that ball......

    7

But all the kids were fascinated with the flowers.  What a little beauty.

I still have a few to post.  They are just soooo cute!

  • The Black Hat - Revisited

Randal has taken the black hat to a new level........yes, this is a picture of my computer screen.  Who is that man in the black hat!!

    Mother's Day 2008 265

It looks a lot like someone I know....but how could that be?  He is in Arkansas and I am in Florida.

    Mother's Day 2008 266

SKYPES!  It is Randal....and the infamous black hat!

    Mother's Day 2008 267

He didn't really think I could take a picture of the picture!!!

You never know where that black hat might turn up next!

  • It's My Story...and I'm stickin to it

O.K.......so I told a white lie.  Just wanted to make sure Mom was home.  I am not UPS.  But it didn't work.  She left a note on the door for the UPS guy to leave the package.  But she was still surprised.  I can't show you her face or her reaction when she saw me......it was priceless.  But I can show you Randal's!

    Mother's Day 2008 063

Seriously....that is about what his face looked like when he THOUGHT I said, "And I am not going back for a very, very long time."  with a smile on my face.

Actually, when he said "What are you doing here?"  "How'd you get here?"  I told him I was the special delivery Mom had been expecting.  And I was referring to the package (necklace)........"And I don't want it back for a very, very long time."  So you can imagine what was going through his head.  Mom could see his face.  I was hugging him.  But it looked about like this ^.

"WHY is she not going back for a very, very long time?

WHY is she smiling?  Did she get fired?

WHERE is she going to STAY for a very, very long time?

It was priceless.  And yes, we had a very good laugh.  A relieved one on his part!  JK.  He would have let me stay!!!  wouldn't you??

    Mother's Day 2008 071

We missed L.J..................but we talked about her (I mean THOUGHT about her), well actually BOTH.  Missing you sister.

    To be continued...................

  • Mad Hatters

I had such a wonderful weekend!  But I have 284 pictures on my camera....and they are all good.  Some are repeats, but many precious pics of different families.  I will try to share a few a day.  But I will begin by telling you young folks out there who think parents are just something you have to put up with in life........I had more fun with my mother than I have had with anyone in a long time!  We laughed a lot.
