  • and puppy dog tails...that's what boys are made of

This is for all my lil boys who loved seeing the puppy pictures.

They are just rooting around.  One of them, all I ever saw was the tail..He is buried!

Dallas was here and Candace was leaving for work.  You can hear her in the back ground telling him to take care of Nana.  Kaya heard it too...and went to check it out.  She is not near as protective as she was, she is atarting to relax a little around us.

Tuesday was Wednesday this week.  I usually tutor on Monday and Tuesday for project praise homeless kids.  The school called me and one of my charges was absent, so I went and got Dallas on Tuesday.   Today (Wednesday) was a wedding shower put on by Angela's school.  Her students think she looks like me.  Her co-workers think she walks like me.  Poor Baby!! It was a really nice turnout wioth great food and a cake made from towels on a bed of money!  It was a very nice shower.

And Dallas still got his day in!

He had a collision with a tree.  And the tree won.  He is still beautiful to me!

    He is ready for Halloween!

He was really into Stuart Little 2.  It was cold outside.  Yes in Florida....I had to wear a jacket.

I hope the boys...enjoy the puppy show.  I'll shoot another one in a week or so, when their eyes are open.

And Menga...I have some engagement pictures to post.  I will have a hard time choosing which ones!

  • My Wednesday on Thursday

I had an appointment yesterday, so today was my Wednesday with Dallas.  He had a big day.  They saw the fire truck and he got a hat and safety kit at daycare.  We went to the bank to cash a check.  He asked "why"......I said, "we need punkin money".  So he told the teller that we needed punkin money.  We left with punkin money and candy from the teller.  We went to the punkin patch, where he proceeded to announce that we had punkin money.

Playing with the calculator while he spends time with Aunt Candace.

It was early release at school, so I took an hour of comp time and picked him up early.  There were about twenty children in a circle hearing a Halloween story when I walked in.  His back was to me.  Mrs. Betty asked Dallas who was picking him up.  He said "My Nana Nancy is picking me up, not my mama, not my Daddy, but every Wednesday Nan Nancy."  The rest of the children saw me and they were watching with grins.  I asked "When do you think she will get here?"  He turned around and saw me and grinned real big and jumped up to hug me.  The children laughed and clapped and told us both good-bye.  They got a big kick out of it.

We went to Beef'O Brady's and had our rare treat of grilled cheese samwiches and curly fries.  As soon as we got home, he got comfortable.

    Another wonderful Wednesday!!!

  • Which came first...the chicken or the egg?

The answer to this age old question can be found in Genesis 2:19-20 (NIV Study Bible).

19-20: Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air.. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.  So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field.

And Adam named one of them Chicken!  That's my answer and I'm sticking to it.

  • Cozy Rainy Wednesday

Sorry, I know it is D day, but no pictures.  We went to blockbuster and rented Alvin and The Chipmunks and ate popcorn all snuggled up on the couch.  I had more fun watching him and hearing him giggle and laugh at the funny parts.  It was cozy and special.  When his daddy picked him up he said "Nana, don't forget to come pick me up from school next Wednesday!"  I do love that boy.

  • Famous Treadmill Dog!

Kaya is destined for fame!  This was printed in the paper this morning.  I love my lil man  and Kaya loves the hammock!

  • Another Sweet Wednesday

Not many pictures today, I was having way too much fun to take pictures.  We stopped by the house and picked up Candace and went to Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone...a rare treat (especially for me!)

Of course he was in his safe chair so Kaya could not get his ice cream.

    PA010498

Kept his clothes on this time!

    PA010501

As you can see, Kaya is getting pretty round.  Could be any day.  This should be interesting!!

Not long into playing he asked "Nana, can I help you put the hammock up.  I can help you do it."  We had the best time laying side by side while I told him stories.  Then he would say "Tell it again!"  I would leave out parts and he would fill in.  His favorite was "The Three Billy Goats Gruff".  Of course Kaya had to jump into the middle of it.  I think next week we may go to the library.  I have forgotten a lot of stories!!!  But we had the bestest time

    Sweet Wednesdays.........
