Fay has arrived.......
and she is in no hurry. She stalled stationary off the coast all night, but the outer bands of rain and wind are reaching us now. Putnam County's coordinates are 29 degree lat and 88 degree long. Fay has consistently been 29degrees, that hasn't changed, she is just closing in. She is just a tropical storm now, but will be moving slowing dumping a lot of rain. We have had some pretty good wind gusts and the rain has picked up. My electricity has started to flicker. I live on higher ground, not a flood prone area, so if I lose electricity, know that I have food, water, lanterns and a grill. Downed power lines and trees have caused thousands to be without electricity. I will try to update later. I feel your prayers, I am not alone.

@LaGenBow - yes mam, but I feel the prayers and I am not afraid. Besides Michelle is across the street and Terri threatened to come get me if the power goes off, but I have provsions. I am fixing to grill a london broil and put the rest of my meat in the freezer.

I'm keeping you in my prayers. Hopefully the storm will lose some of its power and you won't get hit too hard. Hang in there.

@popnre - I know you can appreciate this story with a smile. I was downloading some good sermons and stuff on my ipod. I sat a large glass of water on the end table next to my computer...but away from danger zone (or so I thought). Yes I knocked the whole glass in the direction of all the telephone connections, wiring, plugs, etc. I grabbed a roll of paper towells and sarted sopping. I am just lucky. I didn't get electroctued or fry anything. Everything still works. I have some good stuff on my Ipod and I knew you would get a good laugh out of it. I need to ban water.

I would say you need a cap on top of your glass like the kids use. Turn it over, no spills on the carpet eeeeerrrrrrrr the computer. Some glasses that are large at the top and very small at the bottom are the worse

Boy, you sound a lot like me with the accidents. I have definately been watching Fay and thinking about you and your kids. My prayers are with all of you.
